PAWSitively Yummy!!

So, I couldn’t resist figuring out how folks make the cute little paw shaped dog treats. Perhaps I have a little too much time on my hands, with being cooped up in the house because of over 100 temps outside! 🙂  Here’s the easy breezy results!

Take 2 bananas, and smash them up. (The more ripe they are, the easier it is to mash them.)  Mix together with 1/2 to 3/4 cup Greek yogurt.

If you want to try to have multi colored paws, mix next ingredients in a separate bowl:  1/2 to 3/4 cup Greek yogurt and 1/2 cup XYLITOL FREE peanut butter. (Creamy works better.)  Other wise, you can mix all the ingredients together.

Now just put mixture(s) in molds.  I started with the banana mixture, followed by a small dash of Turmeric, and finished up with the peanut butter mixture.  Place in freezer!

When “paws” are frozen, simply turn out of the molds, and enjoy.  I put paws in a freezer bag, for storage.

As a side note:  While there are some great health benefits to Turmeric, it is best not to give too much.  If you are going to use it in your dogs diet, do your research on what is an acceptable amount.
